And then there were 3

Hi folks! Not often that we share bad news with you, but we have some today. Unfortunately, our lovely Bass player, Dave is stepping down from his role in Bloodyard. It has been a very tough decision for him to make, so please join us in supporting and respecting him in taking this step and in thanking him for his amazing contributions to what we have built so far as Bloodyard. Life in a band can become very demanding, especially as you look to progress and are travelling further away from home for longer periods of time on a frequent basis, and Dave feels that he can no longer commit fully to the band without negatively impacting on his family. As much as we will miss him, his family needs to come first and we fully support that. Dave has been much more than just our bass player – he is family to us and that will never change. He will still be involved in recording the album – his parts are already laid down but he will still be involved with that parts still to come. He will also still be playing our show at Thrashersaurus in Norwich at the start of May, as well as a ‘leaving do’ gig that we have booked, which we’ll share with you very soon! The Bloodyard machine will keep rolling, we are working on getting a stand-in set up as we don’t want to cancel any current bookings and we will be taking applications for a permanent replacement very soon, so stay posted for details on that! We love you Dave! – Donna, Nick and Matty x
